What Is the FORTIFIED Home™ Program?
Instituted by the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety, the FORTIFIED Home program provides a strict set of guidelines for construction crews who are strengthening homes against hurricanes, high winds, hail and severe thunderstorms. Although these construction standards are not required by local code, they go above and beyond code to ensure that your home or commercial building can withstand the elements much better than those built under mere code requirements.
Program Tiers
When you contact American Roofing & Construction, LLC to discuss our FORTIFIED roofing options, we’ll go over the three different tiers that are available to you.
- Bronze: Covers the entire roofing system with upgrades to reduce wind and water entering into the home. Insurance policies may provide discounts up to 35 percent, depending on your carrier.
- Silver: Provides Bronze-level roofing coverage plus coverage for windows, doors and other attached structures.
- Gold: Covers the full structure, from the walls to the floors and the foundation.
